LEO CLUB OF GOVERNMENT COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING ERODE
About us
Leo clubs are a youth organization of Lions Clubs International. Leo clubs encourage youths to develop leadership qualities by participating in social service activities. They are dependent on a Lions club to sponsor and initiate a Leo club. Leo club members are addressed as “Leos.” They conduct various projects in the fields of health care, elders, children, disabled people, literacy and education, and self-development. Leos can raise funds by conducting fundraising projects. They can conduct projects with another Leo club, sponsoring Lions club, or with an outside organization. Leo clubs are sponsored by Lions clubs and comprise an official program of Lions Clubs International.
Leo club at IRTT
Leo club of IRTT was established and monitored by Lions Club of Erode West. It is doing many services to the society in the past twenty years. This is the only club in the Lion district B24 with 20 years existence.
Leo members used to organize the following programs in each year:
- Blood donation camp
- Medical camp
- Passport camp
- Tree plantation camp
- Campus cleaning
- Providing necessary items to senior citizens home
- Providing necessary items to pshycally challanged people
- Providing necessary items to Deaf and Dump school children
- Providing necessary items to home for adopted children
- Leadership training camp
- Contribution to International Lions Club.
